MPR Says
ARRI Alexa Mini LF rental in Florida is the camera that changed what productions here expect from a compact cinema body. When a DP needs genuine large format depth of field on a gimbal, a crane arm, or a tight location stage in Miami — this is the camera. The 36.70 × 25.54 mm ALEV III sensor delivers ARRI color science and 14+ stops of dynamic range in a 2.6 kg body. Your LF footage cuts directly with any other ARRI in the ecosystem. When it comes to ARRI Alexa Mini LF rental, no other Florida house offers the same combination of prep quality, lens inventory, and 7 days a week delivery across five locations.

The body weighs 5.7 lbs with the LPL mount. That matters when your operator is carrying it through take 15 of a tracking shot in a Fort Lauderdale warehouse, or when your 1st AC is balancing it on a crane arm for a 14-hour commercial day in Tampa. The carbon-fiber housing is an engineering decision, not a compromise — same sensor platform as the full-size ALEXA LF at nearly half the form factor. The three built-in motorized FSND filters (0.6, 1.2, and 1.8) handle Florida’s direct midday sun without pulling glass out of the matte box between setups.
What separates the Mini LF from every other compact cinema body is the LPL mount. Native ARRI Signature Prime glass covers the full 36.70 × 25.54 mm sensor without vignetting. No crop. No adapter math. No compromise on the large format look the camera was designed for. We stock full LPL and PL lens libraries — the PL-to-LPL adapter ships with every kit so your S35 primes work day one. If your DP has a specific lens list, send it over — our prep team builds packages daily for productions across Orlando soundstages and South Florida location shoots.
Every ARRI Alexa Mini LF rental that leaves our prep bay is firmware-updated to the latest SUP, back-focus checked on the bench, sensor cleaned, and tested with the lenses in your package. We do not hand you a body in a Pelican case and wish you luck. If your shoot is in Fort Myers and something goes sideways, you have our direct line — not a voicemail box. 7 days a week delivery means your gear is there when your crew call is, not the morning after. That is the standard we hold for every ARRI Alexa Mini LF rental across all five of our Florida locations.
For productions on the ARRI ecosystem that need S35 coverage — music videos, documentary, high-frame-rate commercial work, or drone builds — we also carry the ARRI Alexa Mini. The Mini shoots up to 200 fps in 2K ProRes and uses CFast 2.0 media, which keeps data wrangling straightforward on fast-turnaround shoots. If you are bidding a job and need to know whether to spec the Mini or the Mini LF, our team will help you make the right call based on your deliverable, budget, and lens package.
Moving Picture Rental is not just a camera house. We carry a full production ecosystem: cinema lenses, camera support (O’Connor, Sachtler, Easyrig), Aputure and ARRI SkyPanel lighting, grip trucks stocked and ready to roll, production supplies, and vetted camera crews — including DPs, 1st ACs, and DITs who know the ARRI ecosystem. Whether you need a body-only ARRI Alexa Mini LF rental or a turnkey package with lighting and a grip truck, we build it.

FAQ
Is the ARRI Alexa Mini LF still worth renting in 2026?
Absolutely. The Mini LF remains the standard for Netflix-approved large format production in Florida. The ALEV III sensor’s color science and 14+ stops hold up against cameras costing twice as much. It is still the expected camera on premium commercial, narrative, and streaming productions across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando.
What’s the difference between the Alexa Mini and the Alexa Mini LF?
The Alexa Mini uses a Super 35mm sensor with 3.4K Open Gate and records to CFast 2.0 media. The ARRI Alexa Mini LF uses a large format full-frame sensor with 4.5K Open Gate, Codex Compact Drive media, and is Netflix-approved in all formats. For gimbal, drone, and high-frame-rate work, the Mini is often the better tool. For premium commercial and narrative projects, the LF is increasingly the expectation.
What lens mounts are compatible with the ARRI Alexa Mini LF?
The Mini LF ships with a native LPL (Large Positive Lock) mount, which accepts ARRI Signature Primes, Signature Zooms, and other LPL-native glass. A PL-to-LPL adapter is included with every rental, so your full S35 or full-frame PL lens library works without a separate adapter rental. For EF-mount glass, a third-party adapter is required — call us and we will advise on compatibility.
Does the ARRI Alexa Mini LF meet Netflix’s technical requirements?
Yes. Netflix’s Approved Camera List requires a native minimum 4K sensor with no pixel binning. The Mini LF’s 4.5K ALEV III sensor exceeds that threshold and is approved for Netflix originals in all recording formats. Confirm your specific delivery spec with your post supervisor before locking the package. Moving Picture Rental can provide a camera spec letter on request.
Do I need a COI to rent the ARRI Alexa Mini LF?
Yes. Moving Picture Rental requires a valid Certificate of Insurance for all high-value camera rentals. The ARRI Alexa Mini LF body has a replacement value of $65,000 or more. Contact your production insurance provider before your rental date — our team will send you the certificate requirements when you request a quote.
Can I get same-day delivery of the ARRI Alexa Mini LF rental in Miami or Fort Lauderdale?
Yes. Moving Picture Rental operates five Florida locations and delivers 7 days a week. Same-day delivery in Miami and Fort Lauderdale is available for orders confirmed by mid-morning, subject to availability. For Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Myers, we recommend 24 to 48 hours lead time for full kit prep and license verification.

- Lighting: Aputure 1200d Pro — 1,200W daylight LED at 5600K. 83,100 lux at 3m. Matches the Mini LF’s color science on high-end commercial sets and pushes through Florida ambient exterior light on interior window simulations.
- FIZ Control: ARRI Hi-5 Wireless FIZ w/ CForce Mini Motors — essential on large format glass wide open. The 1st AC gets wireless iris, focus, and zoom control with marked rings and a high-contrast touchscreen.
