Astera Titan Tube Rental

MPR Says: Astera has come out with the new tube set called the Titan Tubes. Love these lights, there are endless possibilities with them. Color matching is on point, fully programmable, easy to travel with, and charging is super easy and with the case. 

One really nice thing we like about the Titan Tubes now is they have a little control module on the back so all you have to do if you don’t want to use the app, DMX or the remote you can just select them all right there and that makes it very convenient.

The internal battery power is great, they last forever and all the accessories are very handy. They have a boost mode which will make it 2.8 times brighter than the x1 and they are still controllable from the app.

The other really nice thing about the new Titan Tubes is the case. It has been redesigned and comes with a breakout box for your wired DMX so you just put the one cable in tentacles out to the many tubes. So if you’re in a situation where the tubes are going to be there for a while or you just want to run wired for whatever reason you can now do that and it also powers them.

Some cool mounting features are very effective. You can hang it with a clamp and hang it to a truss or a c-stand. The clamp can actually move anywhere on the light too so you can do some really cool designs.

The Astera also has many different uses, not only as a backdrop. For example, you can use it as a key light as it’s a super variable light so you can control a whole bunch of aspects of it.

These lights are now more color accurate with a wide range of effects, that’s almost the most important thing. These are 96 CRI so you are getting an overall better product.
