Its ability to retain highlights is unparalleled, outperforming even the Alexa mini LF and the Sony Venice 2 in tests, coming out at a reported 17 stops of dynamic range. This camera’s consistency in various lighting conditions and setups ensures that filmmakers can achieve a uniform look without extensive post-production work.
Additionally, the Arri Alexa 35’s enhanced sensitivity mode, ranging from 2560 to 6400, offers exceptional low-light performance. This feature was particularly praised by filmmakers shooting night scenes.
The addition of the textures setting, allowing for baked in film-adjacent styles brings the Arri Alexa 35 to a new level of creative freedom, allowing for any DP to get the look that they require, straight out of the camera.
